Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is there a maximum number of time I can renew my books?

Yes.  All books are available for renewal once for an extended 2 week period. This allows you to keep a book for up to 4 weeks in total before returning the book back to the library. Once you have renewed your book once, you must bring the book back by the extended due date. If you wish to check out the book again, you must wait 5 business days before you can return to check out the same book. The same policy applies to DVD rentals, except rental renewals will grant a borrower an extended 2 day lease on the DVD.

  • Can I reserve or renew books online?

Currently, our library does not allow for borrowers to reserve or renew books online. Borrowers are welcome to call in to speak with the librarian or an assistant to see if certain material is available.

  • Once I have graduated, will I still be able to access Learnet Academy’s library?

Our library is available only to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff. Alumnis are encouraged to use public library facilities.

  • What is the penalty fee for a late return on an overdue book?

The penalty for a late fee is $0.05 per item per day for all materials in the library. Our library will assess the charges once we mail out the second overdue notice.

  • Can I use the resource room computers for more than 60 minutes?

The allotted time per patron is 60 minutes per day; however, you may request to extend your computer privileges for the day with the librarian if there isn’t a wait list.  Please review our Library Usage section for other library policies.
