Mission Statement

At Learnet Academy the students are provided with opportunities to develop skills, self-discipline, confidence, a professional attitude and an ability to meet employer expectations in the field of their choice, or course of study. We understand that we are preparing our students to work and study in a changing world that is influenced by transnational developments and globalization.

Vision Statement

Our school is small by tradition and design. Our goal is to establish an academic community that unites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends in an extended, loyal family. We must concern ourselves with the personal development of the individual student, and we should encourage all students to care for one another and for Learnet Academy. We aspire to overcome any economic or ethnic barriers that may have excluded individuals from the professions in the past.

History

Established in 1993, Learnet Academy has built a reputation as one of the leading training centers dedicated to offer specialized professional computer courses in operating systems and its applications. These offerings include Microsoft Certified Professional Programs and many other certification courses that are listed in the later part of this catalog.

Also on January 1st, 1998, Learnet Academy proudly announced the establishment of an intensive ESL/EFL program. This brought to fruition a goal long held by the owner to extend the scope of Learnet Academy's programs beyond the domestic students to include individuals who were in need of English as a Second or Other Language (ESOL).

Approvals and Affiliations

Learnet Academy has approvals by BPPVE (The Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education), VA (Department of Veterans Affairs), and DRE (Department of Real Estate).

Learnet Academy is a Vendor for CRA (Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles), WIA (Workforce Investment Act), VA, and provides Rehabilitation Training.

Learnet Academy has been approved by BICE (Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to issue I-20 for F-1 student visa.

Learnet Academy is also affiliated with AAIEP (American Association of Intensive English Programs) and NAFSA (National Association of Foreign Student Advisers) and a member of TESOL (Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages).

Learnet Academy is an Authorized Prometric Testing Center (CA109), iBT TOEFL and TOEIC Testing Center. As such many official Federal and State Certification tests may be given on the campus.
